The 300th patient since the opening of the Queen Square Radiosurgery Centre has been treated.
The centre – treated its first patients in October 2012 and on the 26th November 2014 and a little more than two years since opening, the Gamma Knife Centre at QRSC has treated its 300th patient. Rapidly establishing itself as an important centre delivering stereotactic radiosurgery and providing a key resource to increasing access to patients to this advanced technology the centre is also undertaking a wide range of research.
In welcoming reaching this landmark, Lynne Brooks a Director of QSRC Ltd, a partner in the centre said “We are very proud of the the QSRC Gamma Knife Centre and the advanced treatment it is providing to patients locally, nationally and internationally. In a short period of time it has established itself as a true centre of excellence providing exceptional patient care. Access to this technology needs to increase in the UK to meet levels seen internationally and QSRC provides a key resource for this”
