A recently published report by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England, has found that Shepton Mallet NHS Treatment Centre is meeting essential standards of quality and safety of care. Medical Equipment Solutions Ltd arranged a £16m financing facility for the centre and also structured and arranged the £34 million finance facility as a lease to enable the construction of the Avon, Gloucestershire & Wiltshire ISTC, also with UKSH with KBC Bank NV providing the head funding

NHS patients can be referred to the treatment centre for procedures within specialities such as minor and major orthopaedics, ophthalmology, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, ear nose and throat, urology, diagnostics and dental extraction with some 20,000 procedures undertaken annually.
